Snowmobile Trail Pass and Registration Requirements:

Snowmobile usage on Wisconsin’s public trails, road routes, and frozen lakes require each snowmobile to be registered for public use (in any state or province) AND display a current Wisconsin trail pass.  If you are a Wisconsin resident or ride in Wisconsin, you can register your snowmobiles for public use with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) for $30 each for 3 years.  All Wisconsin registered snowmobiles need to display a valid Resident Trail Pass ($30/year).  All out of state registered snowmobiles need to display a valid Nonresident Trail Pass ($50/year).

As a member of 4 Seasons Recreational Club or any other Wisconsin snowmobile club affiliated with the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs (AWSC), you are eligible to buy a $10 discounted resident trail pass for each of your Wisconsin registered snowmobiles (discount not available for snowmobiles not registered in Wisconsin).  To obtain your discounted resident trail passes, you must have your WDNR snowmobile registration numbers (current and in your name), your AWSC member number (current), and order your trail passes online at the AWSC website.

ATV/UTV Trail Pass and Registration Requirements:

ATV/UTV usage on Wisconsin’s public trails, road routes, and frozen lakes require each unit to be registered for public use in Wisconsin and display a license plate with the registration number on the rear of the vehicle OR display a current Nonresident ATV or UTV Trail Pass.  If you are a Wisconsin resident or ride in Wisconsin, you can register your ATVs and UTVs for public use with the WDNR for $30 each for 2 years.  Wisconsin registered ATV/UTVs do not require a trail pass.  All others need to display a valid Nonresident ATV or UTV Trail Pass ($35/year or $20/5 days).
